what is the material used in floral tape, and why does it need to be %26quot;stretched%26quot; to be activated. And also, what is the stuff called you put into silk floral arrangement containers to make it look like water? and whats the texture of that?

Floral design help?
I don%26#039;t know what the material is that floral tape is made out of, but it responds to the heat of your hands and the stretching of it. The stuff you put into vases to make it look like water is called acrylic water. They have a whole bunch of different brands of it and they sell it at arts %26amp; crafts stores. The texture of it is kind of like mineral oil. The brand that I%26#039;ve used comes with two bottles - one that%26#039;s a thicker than water substance and the other is like an oil. You mix the two together and it creates the %26quot;water%26quot;. If you use it, make sure not to stir it too fast - do it gentle to reduce the amount of bubbles it creates. Bubbles will dry as bubbles so make sure to pop or get rid of any bubbles in your vase before it sets. Also, when you mix it make sure to use disposable bowls %26amp; utensils - the water will harden on it. It%26#039;s a great product that completely hardens after it sets and looks like water. The %26quot;water%26quot; needs to set for something like 1 or 2 days, so make sure to plan ahead.
